Some jewellery is beautiful, some is georgeous, some is a true work of art, some are unique - and some are all that in the same time.
That's how I'd describe OSOFREE JEWELLERY, creations from an Etsy seller and jewellery designer Arnaz.

She's a very creative, actually - extraordinary creative jewellery designer whos statement pieces are so irresistible and unique, bursting in color and femininity that are just impossible not to notice and not to fell in love with them!

Arnaz is sharing her story an love for jewellery making.

How and when did you start create/design jewellery?

Ever since I was a child, I was drawn to art, be it painting, creating something from what I found around the house and constantly accessorizing and embellishing so it was only natural for me to pursue Fine Art at J. J. School of Art at a later stage. Soon after acquiring my bachelor of fine art degree I realized that I had another passion and that was jewelry. A course at GIA in California kick started her career as a jewelry designer.
Not keen on being limited to precious materials,I decided to start my own jewelry business in 2008.

How wold you describe your design in three words?
Bold, unusual, eclectic!

Where do you find inspiration for your work?
I get inspiration from a number of sources, mother nature being the strongest, being by the sea inspires me the most, the gushing waves and the vastness of the ocean is very calming yet energizing. I also feel very inspired after meditation, i am very spiritual and find prayer and mediation clears my mind allowing fresh ideas to stream through. I adore animals and thy too inspire me, the colors in nature from flowers to a beautiful sunset can be such an inspiration in terms of color and form.

What are your favorite blogs and /or sources of inspiration at the moment?
I love pinterest and find it extremely inspiring to see the works of wonderful gifted artists around the globe. I also am inspired by other designers and artists on etsy itself!

I got the inspiration for my shop name whilst meditating. I had just gone through major liberating changes in my life thus the name "OSOFREE".

What are the easiest and the hardest parts about running your own shop?

The easiest part is how efficiently etsy works, its so simple to make any desired changes and listing new items is a breeze.
The hardest part has to be promoting your shop! Especially for a jewelry seller like myself it gets hard to get noticed in a sea of other jewelry sellers and you have to make sure your pieces are unique and stand out.

What is your favorite design in your shop?

I designed and created THIS necklace after i took a long break from jewelry, one evening i felt a sudden anxious urge to create, i picked up random gemstones and this large abalone shell clam and just let my hands move! I loved what emerged and i think it is rather whimsical and quirky, reflecting the mood i was in at the time!

How does your shop reflect your own personal style?

My designs are rather quirky and whimsical and that speaks alot about my own personality. I love color and am pretty bold and i think that comes through in my designs as well. I love to travel and enjoy different cultures therefore my pieces tend to have an eclectic and ethnic flavor.

Any exciting upcomingprojects?

I am soon to launch a line of lazer cut jewelry with my own unique designs, combining different materials and techniques.
