MONTHLY WISHES ::: MARCH
This is not a B&W photo, this is the actual blurred view from my living room window.. Not a trace of the upcoming spring season. Everything is still covered in snow and ice. Though sun IS trying to get through the clouds. Weather predictions are promising but the look through the window makes you question them. So, my dear March...
Be sunny, be snowy if you really want to, but please don't be windy... Be gatherings and dinners with friends, be great news, be Sundays at home, be (finally) organized wardrobe, be good movies, be more books, be happiness, be yoga, be more time outside, be less worries, be northern lights, be getaway, be breakfast in bed, be bubble bath with candles, be something never done before, but above all - be love.

LEAVING HOME
Burried in a peacefulness of the everyday life, in a predictability of decisions and cosiness of a steady home, the adventurer within me was in a deep sleep. A sudden struck of a lightning, unexpected call of a new world that came from a far, long-awaited distance made her eyes wide open in an instant.
She was afraid in the beggining, she doubted and weighted decisions that had to be made.
Things happened... people happened...all making her wanting to stay. And she almost did.
She reached out to grab tempting promises and safe harbours of a stay. Those were all so hard to even think of leaving behind.
But then she thought of a new sunset, of the taste of a foreign snow, of the breath of a different air... she could almost feel the miles running under her feet and the Wild Spirit that arised back to life again from the depths of her soul pulled her away from the hand of a renouncement that almost grasped her tightly.
The Wild Spirit within told her - things will wait... people will wait... if they're destined to be.
And then she left.

THANKFUL FOR SMALL THINGS
People are so forgetful. They remember to thank the Universe for huge dreams fullfilled, projects done, job got, prayers answered, rewards won.... yet, they - we - forget to be thankful for everyday things. Small things - things that we touch, use, carry around, throw, pick up, hold.. You know, small things, made and invented by men, to make our lives easier or entertained. We should be thankful for that, too. Why? Well, why not? If we can be thankful for big things, we can be thankful for small ones, too.
Everyday things I'm thankful for..
What small things are you thankful for?

SKY FULL OF WISHES
Everyone has wishes. Wishes are good. Wishes keep us going forward in life, break boundaries in order to make them come true.
I have so many wishes.... when I start to think of one, there comes another one and another one and I end up wishing for dozen of 'em at once, one wish wakes another one, it's like a chain reaction!
Few weeks ago I had a chance to be part of a wonderful event, releasing of lanterns of wishes. What a wonderful thing to see - a sky full of wishes, people holding lanterns together and hoping for their wishes to come true, wishing for themselves, for the others, for small things and for tremendous dreams, beliving and letting go.
Events like this one should happen more often, they have a power to unite people and to spread joy and hope among them.
Dream it.
Wish it.
Do it.

WINTER SUN
This winter sun was so beautiful this morning, trully amazing! I really hate the fact that mornings like this are so rare at winter and it's unbeliveable how the sunshine has a magical power to cheer up anyone in a blink of an eye!
Please, excuse my bad hair day! I tried to fix things up with a beanie but it did not work, ha! So, here are some bad hair day pics from my sunny balcony.
P.S. Did you notice my new blog design? I've been working on it for the last couple of days and it's finally done, yay! It will also be available in my This Girl Design shop soon. Be sure to check out my other templates, too!
Now, have a nice & sunny day!

first morning fog this november
We're in the country at the moment and this morning when I woke up and peaked trough the window, I saw almost nothing but the fog!
I am not a big fan of foggy weather, but this was a first morning fog this November, and it was so thick and dense and it was all over everything, I just had to grab my iPhone and take few shots while my eyes were still half open.
Fifteen minutes later, after I made myself a coffee and woke up a little more, I was thinking of taking few more, better pictures ('cause I was finally able to wide open my eyes!), but the fog was already almost clarified and thinly.
Mornings like this make you stay home, wrapped in a blanket and drinking morning coffee for hours without feeling guilt for your laziness.

PEAR PICKING
Pears are kinda fruit that I remember I love only after I see them, so they're not something I'd ever really crave for.
Last few days we're spending at Marijan father's home in the country.
Today, I went out of the house for a minute and I realized how beautiful the backyard is - green grass covered in golden leaves, sun was on perfect position to bath the entire place in beautiful light and I just had to reach for my iphone and try to capture the moment.
While I was trying to find the wright angle in order to photo a tiny daisy that was peaking beneath the leaves, I noticed a pear. At first only one, then two and then three and then entire crew of pears that fell from the pear tree and were now lying on the gorund under the tree.
Well, I had no idea there's ton of them lying all over the backyard, covered with leaves and burried in grass.
So, it came to me naturally to pick them all up 'cause it would be really a pitty leaving them lying around rotting.
It was really fun pickinng them around the tree, hoping there will be no pears falling on my head at that moment and seeing them after all gathered in a basket.
And how delicious they are!
I don't know what to do with all that pears, probalby they'll all end up in one of many delicious jams that Marijan's father makes. I bet they'll make an excellent pancake jam filling!

E N C H A N T E D
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes’ sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost—
For the grapes’ sake along the wall.

A DAY IN THE WOODS
My friend Ariana came two days ago to spend part of her vacation with us in Zagreb.
I'm very happy that she's here as her visits before were max a weekend long, so this is a great chance for us to wander around and visit some places.
Today, we had a trekking day!
I'm not much of a trekking (read walking, excersising or anything sport!) girl but I decided to give it a try as she does a lot of trekking and monuntaineering and she wanted to walk to the top of the nearby mountain.
It-was-exhausting!
I feel totally crushed, like someone took off all my extremities and then put them back together on wrong places and in a wrong way! So funny!
It's obviously because I'm not in shape at all and my top excersising is reaching the supermarket or tram station. Terrible, I know.
It took us TWO AND A HALF hours to climb to the top, we had to stop several times (mostly because of me), we took some nice pics and really had fun though it was tiring (especially to me!).
Up there, my hubby (who reched the top by bike!!!) was saving us a spot near the fireplace, we had some tea and a great beans stew with saussage, got warmed and a bit rested, then headed back to the foothill.
It was a nice experience - walking the woods in autumn is really romantic - falling leaves, amazing colors, fresh air.... Definitely, this was a great decision and worth of every effort!

anniversary + birthday + new blog template
Well, this Wednesday is a good day so far today!
Yesterday was our anniversary - 8 years for Marijan & me! They passed so quickly!
It hit me in the head like a giant snowball, it sounds so much when you say it out loud, especially slowly -
e i g h t y e a r s .....
We had to work yesterday so we did not plan the celebration of our anniversary, but we decided to do it today and the decision was - we're going to the movies!
Ha!
You're probably laughin' now 'cause people usually celebrate anniversaries with dinners or some romantic trip or something like that, because you can go to movies anytime!
Yeah, ok, but you can't go to movies on your 8th anniversary anytime!
8th anniversary happens only once!
And we both think that no matter what you do in order to celebrate it, eat fancy food, drink expensive wine, spend a night in 5 stars hotel, eat pop-corns at home (or at cinema in our case) the most important thing is that you love each other.
So, movie it is...
Oh, what movie?
Riddick, of course ;)
My niece turns 4 TODAY! She wants to be a ballerina!
I'm so sad I can't be with her on this special day, but I send her gallons of love from another part of the country!
Happy birthday, little pumpkin!
I wish you many, manny happy birthdays with happy people, tons of presents and good wishes!
xo!
And last for today (but not less important!) - I've finished another PRE MADE BLOGGER TEMPLATE DESIGN and it's available in my SHOP.
It's called "A Peach Can Talk" and you can check all of its details HERE!
Go ahead and check it out!
Tell me what you think of it? I'd love to know!
That's it for today!
Happy Wednesday!

IF I COULD RELIVE A MEMORY.. (blogtember day 11)
... it would definitely be a time back in May 2008 when me and my hubby finally went to Paris.
There was something about Paris from the first moment I've ever heard of it.
A wish to go there, a desire to walk its streets, a need to taste it even for a day. It was a feeling like some part of me has already been there in some far and so distant past life and it desperately wants to go back.
Years passed, a dream remain a dream until one very day we finally decided to go - just like that!
We did not have much money to spend, we did not have much time, but we decided the time was wright.
One of the best decidions we made (and I wish there will be more of them lie this one was!)...
It was also my first travel by a plane and I must say I thought I'd be more scared than I actually was.
I will never forget the moment we stepped out of the bus in the city of Paris, holding my hubby's hand, feeling so excited, almost not believing we were finally there.
The weather was not perfect, clouds were all over the town, but it didn'm matter - in my head it was all bright and shiny and perfect!
I will never forget the smells on the street, climbing the Eiffel, walking the Moulin Rouge, taste of first breakfast by the Seine, modest hotel room we were in, gigantic subway, walking in the rain trough city streets under the old umbrella with my love, amazing Notre Dame ceiling that swept me off my feet and buying of my souvenirs.
Those memories are still vivid in my mind and I so wish to do all that again.
The best thing is that I did it al with the love of my life.
So I can say....
We will always have Paris.
